Probably the largest line that we make, all to order, designed to be both a practical security system as well as a pleasing object which has benefited from the input by the customer to the final specification. They are made hinged, either automated or manually operated and sliding. Increasingly popular is the hardwood (usually Iroko) covered metal framed gate which combines natural looks with a frame that prevents the gate from twisting- a known fault with timber framed gates.

Our steelwork is hot dip galvanized to BSI standards and usually powder coat painted in any colour. This assures a maintenance-free finish for around 10 years.

The hardwood receives two coats of varnish or timber paint and only requires painting after 2 years.

Manually operated gates can be secured by lockable bolts and drop bolts or by electrically powered magnetic locks and drop bolts which are controlled by remote control buttons, cards, underground loops or key pads. There are also hydraulic gate closers on the market which do not require power.

Automated hinged gates are powered by either underground boxes or arms fitted to the back of the gate. These are controlled by remote control buttons, loops, keypads or via the telephone system. Intercom and video systems are available to contact the resident or again the telephone system.
